GET READY WITH STEPHANIE BROEK
Get ready for the final festive edit with Stephanie Broek. She is a 30 year old fashion writer,
content creator and consultant, living in Amsterdam. For her party look, Stephanie chose
the Louna slip dress, with high slits made in silky satin fabric, paired with some bulky knee-high boots.
What are your main sources of inspiration?
Art and architecture. When it comes to clothes I love to play with textures and volumes/layers.
What does fashion mean to you?
When I was younger fashion was a way of self-expression. I loved experimenting with different fashion era’s,
Now I’m in my 30s I’ve noticed that my style has grown up too. I used to think beige, brown and black were boring colors. Now I love neutrals. It also has to do with the fact that minimal pieces last longer. I recently wrote a story on ‘climate change minimalism’. I am building a long-lasting wardrobe with timeless pieces that I’ll hopefully be able to pass onto my children one day.
Les Coyotes de Paris in one word…
Why did you chose this look for festivities?
I love a good slip dress and this one is even better because it has splits. Great for dancing.
What’s the most special piece you ever worn?
I can’t pick one, sorry! There are so many pieces that made me feel on top of the world. A white almost wedding dress-ish maxi dress from Jacquemus, but also a vintage gala dress I scored for 5 euros at Laura Dolls and the Issey Miyake Pleats Please set I bought on Marktplaats. I’ve also spent hours in the fashion closets of the magazines I worked for and tried on Gucci and Balenciaga runway looks. So many memories :).
Can you define your look? And how does it resonate with Les Coyotes de Paris?
My style is all about contrast. A mix of feminine and masculine elements.
What is your favorite way to celebrate the festive season?
Cozy dinners at home are my favorite during the holiday season. Good food, jazz/classical music, candles, my boyfriend, friends and/or family.
